About Lady Ward
Meet Jerilyn Ward, dedicated seamstress, instructor, and founder of Sewing With Lady Ward.
Hi, I’m Jerilyn Ward.
I am a dedicated seamstress, sewing instructor, and the founder of Sewing With Lady Ward. My love for sewing started at an early age, watching my mother create clothing with care, patience, and skill. What began as curiosity soon became a lifelong passion for design, creativity, teaching, and helping others feel confident through what they wear and create.
For more than 25 years, I have worked with sewing, alterations, custom creations, fashion design, and hands-on instruction. My work is detailed, personal, and always focused on the needs of each customer or student.
At Sewing With Lady Ward, I teach students how to use their creativity, build practical sewing skills, and take pride in their finished work. Whether you are learning to sew for the first time, preparing for a class, requesting an alteration, or bringing a custom idea to life, my goal is to make you feel welcomed, encouraged, and supported.
Teaching with patience, purpose, and creativity
Sewing is more than a skill. It teaches patience, focus, confidence, and creative thinking. My classes are designed to help each student learn step by step, ask questions freely, and enjoy the process of making something with their own hands.
I believe every student learns differently, so I create a comfortable space where beginners, young learners, and returning students can grow at their own pace.
A studio built on care and attention to detail
Every project matters here. From simple alterations to custom garments, memory pieces, and sewing classes, I give careful attention to the details that make each item meaningful.
My work is personal because sewing is personal. A garment, a quilt, a class project, or a custom design often carries a story. My job is to help bring that story forward with skill, care, and honesty.
Helping students create with confidence
One of the greatest joys of Sewing With Lady Ward is seeing students complete their projects and feel proud of what they created. From beginner classes to fashion design sessions, students leave with more than a finished piece — they leave with confidence, creativity, and a new skill they can continue to build.
